About Crowdstrike

CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. is an American tech company headquartered in Austin, Texas, US. It was founded 11 years ago in 2011 by George Kurtz (currently CEO), Dmitri Alperovitch, and Gregg Martson. It is traded on NASDAQ as CRWD as a Class A stock, primarily in the cybersecurity domain, and employs around 3394 Workforce as of 2021. It hired the former FBI veteran, Shawn Henry, to lead CrowdStrike Services, focusing on incident response and proactive services. The company launched its first product called CrowdStrike Falcon in 2013 that provided efficient endpoint protection and threat intelligence. In 2018, they also launched a mobile version of their Falcon security software and CrowdStrike store. They reported in 2019 that Ryuk Ransomware accumulated nearly 3.7 million USD as cryptocurrency payments. The company investors are Telstra, March Capital Partners, Rackspace, Accel Partners, Warburg Pincus, and Google. CrowdStrike acquired Preempt, a zero-trust and conditional access tech provider in 2020 for a total of 96 million USD. In 2021, it spent 400 million USD to acquire Humio, a Danish Log Management platform. The company also acquired Secure Circle for 61 million USD in the same year. It has a solid platform to serve its customers base from potentially pernicious attacks by providing visibility and protection.
