Subuthi Finance Ltd is a Chennai, Tamil Nadu based financial services company that was incorporated in 1992 as a Private Ltd company and made public in 1994. Its founder K V Balakrishnan currently serves as the managing director. The company offers diversified services such as corporate credit operations, investment banking operations, merchant banking operations, OTCEI operations and more. With the aim of increasing the blue chip corporate clientele in Lease and Hire Purchase areas, Subuthi Finance has released a public issue of 1800000 equity shares worth Rs 10 each accompanied by a premium of Rs 20 per share totaling to a grand Rs 5.40 crores in 1996. It also plans to establish a 1.8 MW wind farm in Karnataka with assistance from IREDA, and explore avenues in the infrastructure sector for long-term benefit. In the year 1999-2000 Subuthi Finance saw a great rise in turnover, bringing it to a total of Rs 644.97 lacs and also recorded a net profit of Rs 49.52 lacs which is 11% higher than the previous year.
