About Naperol Investments Ltd

National Peroxide Ltd (NPL) is a joint venture between The Bombay Dyeing Manufacturing Company and Laporte Industries UK. Established in 1956, the company specialises in the manufacture of hydrogen peroxide and persalts, as well as lithium and PVC stabilisers. In 1972, NPL adopted the latest auto oxidation technology and built a captive hydrogen gas plant with a capacity of 15,000 tonnes per annum (TPa). In 1989, NPL entered a joint venture with Akzo Chemie Germany for a plant in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh to manufacture litharge and plastic additives with a capacity of 4800TPa. Over the years, NPL established an integrated research centre in Kalyan in 1979 with the cost of Rs 1.5 crore to explore the applications of hydrogen peroxide and persalts across various industries. The company further sold their Dewas division to Barlocher India Additives Pvt. Ltd in 2000. Additionally, they successfully completed a real estate project (Naperol Tower) in 200001, selling 159 flats. This revenue was subsequently used to pay off high cost loans.
