About Virescent Renewable Energy Trust

Virescent Renewable Energy Trust is an InvIT established under SEBI regulations in February 2021 to invest in, acquire, manage and operate renewable energy projects in India. KKR's affiliates are the Sponsor to the Trust and the Investment Manager. The Trustee is Axis Trustee Services Limited, which is a registered intermediary with SEBI. Founded in 1976, KKR is a leading global asset management firm with $428 billion in managed assets. In 2008 KKR established a dedicated infrastructure team to focus on global investments and have since then deployed more than $30 billion in infrastructure assets across 10 offices. KKR's current infrastructure portfolio includes active portfolio companies like India Grid Trust, TSK Corporation, Eco Solutions Group, First Gen, Pinnacle Towers, SECI, TANGEDCO, NVVN, GUVNL and UPPCL. Virescent Renewable Energy Trust's initial portfolio was composed of 9 operational solar power projects totaling to 394 MWp across 5 states. As of now, the Trust manages 14 operational solar power projects totaling to 500 MWp across 7 states.
