Sundial Growers Inc. was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada. The company is engaged in producing and marketing cannabis products. The enterprise value is at $700 million and currently employs over 250 individuals. Sundial acquired Alcanna Inc. via a court-approved plan in a share transaction, which is valued approximately at $346 million. Alcanna Inc., Canada's largest private liquor retailer, brings in the liquor capabilities to Sundial Growers. They have been in the business for over 25 years. They operate over 170 stores across 3 main retail banners. They are also in a strategic partnership with Nova Cannabis with ~63% ownership. This transaction substantially enhances the retailing capabilities of Sundial in the cannabis space. Nova Inc. is a leading retailer across 62 locations across the USA. Sunstream Bancorp is in a 50%: 50% joint venture between Sundial and SAF Group that leverages strategic financial and operational partnership to generate risk-return opportunities within the cannabis industry.
