Jindal Photo Films Ltd (JPFL) is a photographic products manufacturing company with assistance from Fuji Photo Films Japan and a marketing tie-up with the same. It was formerly known as Konica Photo Films and is headquartered in Nainital, Uttaranchal. It has units in Gulaothi, Uttar Pradesh, Valsad, Gujarat and Dadra, Dadra Nagar Haveli. In 1990, a unit for producing texturised synthetic yarn was established in Gulaothi, and an ongoing profitable concern named Phototech was merged in 1992. The company capitalised on liberalisation in 1991 and launched the Fuji Film and Fuji Color brands. In 1994, it went public and added X-ray films and graphic art films to its production range. It launched digital cameras and photography related digital products in 1999, and digital mini labs with cutting edge technology for film processing and printing in 2001. During 20022003, the production of texturised yarn at Gulaothi was suspended. The photographic business was hived off and transferred to Consolidated Photo Products Ltd (CPPL). The company is now known as Consolidated Finvest Holdings Ltd and for every 100 shares held in the former, shareholders will get 24 equity shares of Rs 10 per share at CPPL, and 76 equity shares of Rs 10 per share at CFL.
