N.B.I Industrial Finance Company Limited was incorporated in 1936 and is registered as a Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC-ND) with the Reserve Bank of India. The Company’s main sources of income include dividend income from long-term investments, interest from fixed deposits and profits from sale of investments. Its profitability may be affected by the performance of the stock market. Shares in the Company are of par value Rs.10 each and the Board has proposed in the 2017 financial year a subdivision of each share into 2 fully paid-up Equity Shares of Rs.5 each. The Venktesh Co. Ltd. and The Laxmi Salt Co. Ltd. have ceased to be associates of the Company. N.B.I Industrial Finance Company's securities were admitted for trading on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in November 2016, with trading commencing on 7th December 2016.
