Incorporated in 1996, Polycab India Limited is a leading manufacturer in the electrical sector. The company specializes in cables and wires and has expanded into fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG). Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Polycab offers a range of products, including power cables, control cables, flexible wires, and FMEG products such as fans, LED lighting, switches, and solar solutions.
Polycab operates primarily in India but has extended its reach to countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and America.
In 1964, the Jaisinghani family started Thakur Industries, a small cable manufacturing company, which later, in 1983, registered as Polycab Industries. In 1996, it incorporated as Polycab Wires Private Limited.
In 1998, the company set up a facility at Daman for PVC-insulated power cables, house wires, telephone cables, optical fibre cables, switchboard cables, and quad cables.
EPC and others: Policab also provides engineering, procurement, and construction services for power distribution and rural electrification.
