Tax Exemption Of Child Education Allowance

As per the  recent update in January 2022, Child Education Allowance (CEA) in India is tax-exempt under Section 10(14) of the Income Tax Act, subject to a certain limit. The exemption is limited at the most up to Rs. $100 per month per child, for a maximum of two children. This implies the full deduction one can claim under CEA is Rs. 1200 a year (Rs. 100/ child/ month for 12 months).
